"Out of Control" is a song by Irish rock band U2, released in 1980 as their second single. The track was written after lead vocalist Bono had seen The Ramones perform live in Dublin in 1979. The song was a fan favorite during U2's early live performances, and it quickly became a staple of their setlist. It was later included in their debut album, "Boy". The song features Edge's signature guitar sound and Bono's distinctive vocals. It was produced by Steve Lillywhite, who would continue to work with the band on many of their subsequent albums. "Out of Control" helped establish U2 as one of the most promising new bands of the early 1980s and set the stage for their future success.
